New Heron Foils From Dinghy Sports

Freddy Foils Heron centreboard and rudder blade moulds now in production for high quality moulded foils.  These foils are gelcote finish with high grade 'e' glass and 's' glass uni- directional lay-up.  The core is high density  foam (divinicell).  By changing the orientation of the unis, it is now possible to create different bend and thrust characteristics in the centreboards ( as per the 470 board developments that have been happening for some time)

The rudder box is moulded fibreglass with plywood core and Goldspar gugdeons bolted on.  The tiller is 32mm anodised alloy and glassed on.

BYRA opens for the 2012/13 season and the Phillips were there

The sailing season opened yesterday at BYRA with a bang.  She is shining inside and out with a new paint job courtesy of the many winter members working bees.

No one is more excited about the start of the season than, Freddy Phillips, who was heard to say on the day.  "when I die I want to come back as one of my kids"  Probably because the family had just returned from a lovely ski holiday in Thredbo and was on Pittwater the next day.  She sure is a gorgeous country with so much opportunity and fun to be had.

The biggest Beach House Brat looked like he never had a break over winter

He took his sister out for a spin but she preferred daddy's steady hand.

It was  a lovely day and we are hoping for great things this season, so stay tuned.

Manly Junior under Construction at Dinghy Sports for the Dransfields

So what's happening at Dinghy Sports in Manly Juniors?  The Dransfields have a new boat under construction. They visited on Saturday to check out its progress and will be picking the boat up next Saturday.  Here's Mark gluing in the deck supports.

In the mean time, Dog Eat Dog got a new false floor last week.

The Beach House Brat dropped in to say hi during the school holidays.  Can't wait til the season starts.  Hugh will be sailing MJs this year too!!!!!
